John Allan Raper, 30, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on March 20, 2025.
John was a devoted family man with a passion for the outdoors and mechanics. He found joy in fishing, camping, and working on cars. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially playing with his children.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Althea Raper, Cathy Oliver, and Tammie Peterson; grandfather, Bobby Carter; aunt, Dinah Raper.
John is survived by his loving parents, Janet (Steve) Roberts, Jason (Karen) Peterson, and John (Teri) Joy; his devoted spouse, Shyann Childress Raper; his beloved sons, Tydas Allan Raper, Johnny Childress, and one on the way; siblings, Analissia Westbrook, Joshua (Olivia) Creamer, Robert Raper, Summer Joy, James Roberts, and Brandon Bowman; niece and nephew, Blake Westbrook and Lexi Westbrook; nephews Joshua Creamer, and John Creamer; and niece, Donna Taylor; as well as many other cherished family members and dear friends.
The family will welcome friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Companion Funeral Home Chattanooga Chapel, located at 6018 John Douglass Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37421. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a service to follow at 4:00 PM. Interment will take place at Harrison Cemetery, located at 5774 TN-58, Harrison, TN 37341.
John's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
