John Reistle Obituary
Legacy
He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. John was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving over 10 years, and used his training towards a 40-year career as a nuclear engineer. He loved listening to the music and watching the movies and television of his younger days. John spent countless hours rooting on his kids and grandkids at their sporting events. He was always building or fixing something, often his '29 and '56 Ford trucks, and is already at work on his honey-do list.
Family
John was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Jean Haines Reistle; devoted father of Jack (Jennifer) Reistle, the late Jill Reistle, and Joy (Bill) Mintzer; devoted Poppy John of Leah, Hope, Emma, Kaci, Cody, and Luke. Dear brother of Ann (Mike). Brother-in-law of Jerry (Kay). Son of the late Leo and Helen Reistle. He will be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, March 21st from 11AM to 1PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Service at 2PM at the Mickleton Friends Meeting House, 413 Kings Highway, Mickleton, NJ. Interment will follow at the Mickleton Friends Meeting Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the The Parkinson's Foundation https://support.adaparkinson.org.
