John Rellick Obituary

John P. Rellick, 93, of Derry, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at Loyalhanna Care Center with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Derry, the son of the late Anthony and Sophia (Postosky) Rellick. Prior to retirement, John worked at Latrobe Steel. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. John is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary I. (Pividori) Rellick, of Derry; three sons, Christopher J. Rellick and wife, Lisa, of Latrobe, Jeffrey M. Rellick and wife, Rita, of Dunconnon, Pa., and Stephen J. Rellick, of Latrobe; two brothers and three sisters; two grandchildren, Kayla Messenger and husband, Zachary, and Matthew Rellick; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Alexa Messenger; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. At John's request, the visitation and services were private for the family. The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements with the MATTHEW X. MERLIN FUNERAL HOME INC., 529 N. Chestnut St., Derry, 724-694-8331. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. . Online condolences may be made at merlinfuneralhome.com.
