John Elton Renew, 86, of Albany, GA., died Friday, March 13, 2026 at PruittHealth Palmyra Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.
John was born in Sumner, GA., to the late Elton and Addie Renew. He worked for Coats and Clark and enjoyed watching westerns, Gunsmoke and Bonanza were his favorites. He moved to Albany from Bainbridge in 1979 and has been with Albany ARC for many years until a few years ago.
He is survived by a great group of caretakers from Albany ARC, PruittHealth Palmyra Nursing Home and Pruitt Hospice.
