John Renken Obituary

John Felix Renken
September 16, 1932 - July 19, 2025

John Felix Renken was born September 16, 1932 and raised in Dodge Center, MN to John and Eleanore Renken. John died on July 19, 2025 in Port Angeles.
John married Margi Kay in the fall of 1954 in Las Vegas, NV. They spent the first half of their married life in Southern California.
John worked in the missiles manufacturing world mostly for Rockwell International. His work moved them around Southern California; Princeton, West Virginia; Georgia and Washington state. John retired as a Supervisor at Hanford. In 2000, John and Margi moved to Sequim. They enjoyed traveling in their motorhome with their kitties, Benny and Sonny.
John enjoyed hunting in his younger years. As he got older, he enjoyed the slower life of lake fishing in his small boat. After Margi passed, John would still start up the motorhome and travel to see his life-long friends, grandkids, and his sister, Joyce. His last trip was last summer.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Margi; daughter, Bonnie; brother, Joe; sister, Jeanette.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce Stivers; sons, Roger and James Renken of Sequim; grandsons, Casey, Shane and Brandon McCarthy; and granddaughter, Hannah Renken; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 815 West Washington St, Sequim on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11 am. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 11 am.
