John Albert Rissetto, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at the Thomas Upham House in Medfield, Massachusetts. Born in New York, New York on July 31, 1945, he was the son of the late John Rissetto and Anna (Boynansky) Drobny. John was raised and educated in New York City.
John's career with Con Edison began when he took on the role of a battery technician. While working at ConEd, John met his wife to be, Carmen Elvira Rodriguez, who worked in the programming department. John and Carmen were married on December 17, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple made their home in Tappan, New York, building wonderful memories together. In their retirement, John and Carmen moved across the country to make their home in Sedona, Arizona in 2011. While in Sedona, John and Carmen regularly drove north to Las Vegas to see shows. Their travels were not limited to road trips though, as the couple looked forward to catching a plane for a vacation in Alaska or Hawaii, taking in all the natural beauty that the United States had to offer. Back at home, John and Carmen enjoyed an evening out, full of line or western dancing, along with plenty of laughs. Living out west also afforded John the opportunity to spend time around horses, visiting ranches to test his riding skills on various trails and building his confidence to lead others on recreational rides.
In more recent years, John and Carmen moved back east, making their home in Walpole, Massachusetts. John quickly found his spiritual home at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole, remaining devoted to his faith. However, more than anything, John was devoted to his beloved wife Carmen, living up to his vows to remain by her side through the good and the bad.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend John's visitation on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
