Daniel Joseph Sullivan, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 19, 2025, after experiencing a heart attack while hiking the Blue Hills.
Dan was born in South Bend, Indiana on April 19, 1956 and was the beloved son of the late George and Patricia Sullivan.
Dan is survived by his loving wife Anne Elizabeth Sullivan, three daughters Amy Marie Sullivan, Molly Anne Sullivan and Kelly Elizabeth Sullivan and her husband Cristiano Paião Giachetto and two grandchildren, Leandro Sullivan Giachetto (8) and Nivea Sullivan Giachetto (2). Dan is also survived by his 9 siblings; Gerald, Timothy, Kenneth, Gregory, Michael, Brian, Kathy, David Sullivan and Margaret Gemelli as well as their loving spouses and children.
He dedicated his life to caring for pediatric patients as a registered nurse for over 30 years. His family will always remember the selfless way he devoted himself to his loved ones by constantly caring and providing for them. He was passionate about spending time outdoors either out on the golf course, hiking or attending his grandson’s soccer games. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Dan’s visitation on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A funeral home service will follow at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dan’s name may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or by visiting https://www.stjude.org/
