John Roberts Obituary
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home with interment to be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
John was born April 26, 1962 in Albany, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ralph Roberts, Jr. and Jacquelyn McDonald Roberts. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Roberts.
He graduated from Gainesville High School in the class of 1980. He then went on to achieve a degree in Physics and Chemistry from the University of North Georgia. John had a brilliant mind that allowed him to achieve the goals that he set for himself. John was proud of his son, Noah and was a loving father to him. John was dedicated and supportive to his family and was loved by all who knew him. Through hard work and determination he achieved the level of Eagle Scout with the BSA. He and his brother Bernard followed their father's footsteps as fraternity members of Sigma Chi.
He is survived by his son, Noah Janes; brother, Michael Roberts; brother, Benny Bracewell; sister, Libby Jackson (Sandy); sister, Sally Williams (Greg); 4 nieces and 5 nephews and a number of great-nieces and nephews; uncle, Marvin Alexander and a number of cousins. He is also survived by Danny (Tammy) Ivey and Mike Bracewell, his very dear lifelong friends.

Oh, Sally,
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I still can remember him as that beautiful, mischievous, little boy with the bright, sparkling eyes when I first saw him in 1965, when your Uncle Bob & I married. My heart goes out to you & to ALL of your family. Though I'm not still a part of your family, you'll always have a special place in my heart. I pray that God will give you peace & comfort. Aunt Jane
