John R. "Jack" Robinson Sr.

John "Capt. Jack" R. Robinson Sr. age 73 passed away suddenly on Saturday December 7, 2013. Born in Bristol, Pa. He was a lifelong resident of Bensalem. Jack was a Bensalem High School Graduate Class of 1958. He also graduated from the National F.B. I. Academy, Quanico, Va., He was a Bensalem Policeman for 42 years and retired in 2004 with the rank of Captain. Jack was also a member of the Bensalem Rescue Squad. He loved hunting and from the age of 12 he hunted with his father, family and friends. Jack loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Marian L. (Weinland) Robinson, his daughter, Kathi L. Ramirez and her husband Ed of Montrose , and his son, John "Jack" R. Robinson Jr., of Bergen, Norway. Also survived by his brother, Harry R. Robinson of Fl., and 4 grandchildren; Richard Cordes Jr., Kelli Cordes, Kassidi Ramirez and Christopher R.B. Robinson. Son of the late Raymond and Anna Polst Robinson and brother of the late Walter Robinson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday from 3 to 7 pm at the Tomlinson Funeral Home and on Monday from 10 to 11:00 am, followed by his service at 11:00am. Interment Sunset Memorial Park Feasterville, Pa. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Bensalem Police Benevolent Association, 2400 Byberry Rd., Bensalem, Pa 19020.
