John Adrien Roger, 68, of Hyattsville, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
John dedicated more than 40 years of his life as a mason, a trade he took great pride in. Known
for his strong work ethic and skilled hands, he believed in honest labor and building things to
last. Through his work, he left a lasting mark on the many projects and communities he served.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his
loving wife of 50 years, Deborah Roger; his children, Carla Gordon (Ric Gordon) and Dawn
Myers (Scott Myers); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown (Enoch Brown III), Jazmin Johns,
Anthony Johns, and Ma’Kayla Myers; and his great-grandchildren, Aireyanna, Serenity, Priscilla,
Zahra, and Zyla. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul (Patricia) and Rebecca (Gary); and a host
of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Roger Jr., and his siblings, Carolyn (Martin) and
Deborah (Charles).
John/Dad/Poppa/Bop will be greatly missed by his entire family.
