Of Hamburg, NY, passed away July 5, 2025. Beloved husband of Marion "Lou" Romanello (nee Burgess); loving father of John (Anne) Romanello and Melissa Romanello; dear step-father of James C. Gehrke; loving grandpa of Frank Romanello and Mia Romanello; dearest son of the late Joseph G. Romanello and Mary Romanello (nee Gianturco); loving brother of Joseph (Josephine) Romanello and James (Jeanne) Romanello; uncle of Ty (Melissa) Romanello, Britt (Michael) Tenny, and Samantha (Dan) Katz; also survived and surrounded by the love of his wife Lou's Burgess Family: Alec (Robin) Burgess, Erin (Doug) O'Reilly, and Kris Burgess (Tim) Leonard and nieces and nephews; Alongside his brothers, John was the proud owner, operator, and manager of family businesses Roseland Restaurant and Prime Rib Restaurant in Buffalo, Romanello's South Restaurant in Hamburg, and Old Orchard Restaurant in East Aurora. John truly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, date nights with Lou, golfing, and going to the casino. He will be sincerely missed. I worked for John at Romanellos South for several years in early 80´s. He was a kind man with a great sense of humor who treated his employees very well. I admired him, appreciated him and still think of him often. May he rest in peace

Joe , Jimmy. So sorry to hear about the loss of your brother John. I think of him and have too many laughs when we hung out with the Cleveland Hill guys. John and your family grew up on Treehaven
Near my family. He always had a great sense of humor and fun to be with.

Sadness does not describe the feeling I have knowing that John has passed. He was a true example of a gentleman! His kindness and friendliness was always on display. Through the years of knowing John, my admiration for him grew. Sending prayers and hugs to you and family.
