John Rorapaugh Obituary

John H. “Jack” Rorapaugh, 84, of Kirtland, passed away Aug. 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born Dec. 4, 1937, in Barnesboro, Pa., he had lived in Cleveland before moving to Lake County 59 years ago.Mr. Rorapaugh had worked for Caterpillar and Kirtland Schools. He was also a longtime past member of the Kirtland Football Chain Gang. Jack was the loving father of Jeffery (Karen, née Roach) Rorapaugh Sr. and David (Ame, née Conaway) Rorapaugh; cherished grandfather of Jeffery Jr. (Jeanne), Heidi (Jason), David (Ky), Craig (Carmen), Kaylyn (Brian), Hannah (James), Mitchell (Katy), Megan, and Casey; and great-grandfather of Cooper, Evan, Brooklyn, Colin, Emerson and Trask. Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay (nee Cooper); daughter, Linda Rorapaugh; parents, James and Martha (nee Jones) Rorapaugh; and brother, James Rorapaugh. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at North Kirtland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name are suggested to Miracle City Hospice, 9150 South Hills Blvd., Suite 100, Broadview Hts., OH 44147.
