John B. Sadowitz, 79, of Dowagiac passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Royalton Manor, St. Joseph.
A celebration of life service will be at noon on Friday, March 24, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the funeral home.

John was born on April 17, 1943, in Niles to Blanchard and Dorothy (Mallow) Sadowitz.
He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1961 and then went on to attend Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
John was hard working and worked many jobs over the years, from working sales to working at Chrysler Motors. However, the job he loved the most was being a dad, where he was able to stay home and raise his daughter, Kimmie.
He had a love and appreciation for cars and was a collector of all automobiles. John was known for his outgoing personality and always socializing. He loved his friends, classmates, and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Jon) Schultz; grandchildren: Louis Schultz, Cooper Schultz, Autumn Schultz and Brookelynn Schultz; brother, Michael (Louise) Sadowitz; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Blanchard and Dorothy Sadowitz.
