John Saxon, of Brownsville (Centerville Borough), passed away in his home Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born July 21, 1950, in Brownsville, a son of the late John Saxon, and Albina Polidori Saxon of Longwood, Fla., who survives. John graduated from Beth Center High School with the Class of 1968. Following his military service, John worked for Beth Energy Mines for seven years. Later he joined the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where he served for 25 years and retired as special agent. John was a dedicated member of the Centerville American Legion Post 705, where he served as post commander and a past adjutant for the 25th American Legion District. Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his loving wife, Patricia Marcolini Saxon; sons, John Saxon (Nicole) of Henderson, Nev., and Bryan "B.J." Saxon of Yorktown, Va.; his grandchildren, Audrina and J.D. Saxon; brother, Alex (Carmel) of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friend and fishing partner, Larry Mayton; and his walking buddy, John Kallis. Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, were his first wife, Theresa Ann Kisko Saxon; and sister, Christina Saxon Gabonay. John will be remembered for his lifelong commitment to service, his faith, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 30, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville.
