To the Family of John Scanlon, Jr.: By the time I received work of John's Homegoing it was not possible to get to the funeral. I served at Our Lady of Victories for several years prior to retiring in July 2024. I always enjoyed conversing my METS co-fan and kidding him about when he would get his METS season tickets. John was a good parishioner of OLV and good friend for me. I offered a Mass on June 29th for his intentions. Rev. Michael E.
