John Kenneth Schaul, of Chicago, passed away May 16, 2025 at the age of 51.
John was the loving son of Kenneth and Donnaruth (Yates) Schaul; beloved brother of Meg (Steve Stormo) Schaul, the late Timothy Schaul, the late Eric Schaul, and Julie (Alberto Alonso) Schaul; and cherished uncle of Chas Schaul, Ryland Schaul, and Sequoia Alonso.
After working for a time as a bartender, John chose to become self-employed, giving him the freedom to enjoy life on his own terms. He spent his spare time biking through Chicago’s lakefront and hiking the trails of the National Parks he loved so dearly.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St., Barrington. A memorial luncheon will follow immediately after mass.
Interment will be held at a later date.
