John Boyd Schramm, 70, of Springtown, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the afternoon of Sunday, January 11, 2026 surrounded by his family.
Graveside Services: 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Goshen Cemetery, Springtown, Texas.
Visitation: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at White’s Funeral Home Chapel, Springtown, Texas.
John was born in Fort Worth, Texas at Saint Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 1955 to Frank Louis Schramm and Francene Helen Sue Johns Schramm. He was the fifth of six children. John lived most of his life in River Oaks and attended school in Castleberry ISD, graduating from Castleberry High School in 1973. He was an ASE Certified Auto Mechanic by trade and retired as the Fleet Services Supervisor from the City of Benbrook after 20 years. John loved buying and restoring classic cars, going to car shows, tinkering on his tractors and camping out at swap meets.
John is preceded in death by his father, Frank Louis Schramm; mother, Francene Helen Sue Johns Schramm; sister, Doris Irene “Cissy” Schramm; brothers, Frank Joseph “Sonny” Schramm, Larry Roger Schramm, and Scott Louis Schramm and stepdaughter Heather Ann Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sheila of Springtown, Texas; daughters, Suzanne Meason of Saginaw, Texas; Shelley Schramm of Fort Worth, Texas; Amy Collier and husband Chris of Azle, Texas; stepdaughter Deanndra Huddleston and husband Erik of Georgetown, Texas; sister, Suzanne Collier and husband Jack of Fort Worth, Texas; and nine grandchildren, Connor, Luke, Tristen, Madison, Hayden, Brennan, Reagan, Brayden and Hunter.
