John was the founder of the Wild Pigs police motorcycle club; founder of the local Blood Brothers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, founder and coach of the Russellville Police Boxing Club; and founder and coach of the Serrette Boxing Club.
John's hobbies included being a ham radio operator (K5ZU), bow hunting, fishing and playing bass guitar.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sandra Jones.
He is survived by his "Three Girls", including his wife of 35 years, Michelle (Jones) Serrette of Russellville; two daughters, Megan (Eddie) Alejandro of Pottsville and Jenny Serrette of Dover; a brother, Robert Serrette of Dover; three grandchildren, Rylee and Landon Serrette and Marcel Alejandro; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Lorine Jones of Knoxville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Sherri Seward of Dover; and his constant companion and best friend, his chihuahua, Nacho.
John will be remembered as a loving, caring, and protective husband, father and grandfather, "The Rock of The Family". John always took care of and loved his "Three Girls".
