John Sheehy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc. - Milford on Aug. 29, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

John Richard Sheehy, born Aug 14, 1967, passed to his eternal rest on Aug 28, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Nancy (Gulden), adored son Ian Patrick and treasured daughter Elise Kathryn.

He is now reunited in the loving company of his father, James Patrick Sheehy, mother Jean Ann Sheehy (Miller), and dear mother in law Libby Gulden (Theis).

The youngest of 8 children, John will be forever loved and missed by his siblings Michael Sheehy (Donna), Deirdre Mahne (Tony), Tim Sheehy (Catrina), Susan Crowe (Tracy), Frank Sheehy (Kim), Libby Sheehy, and Andy Sheehy.

His wife Nancy's family was equally dear to him: father in law David Gulden, sisters in law Julie George (Doug), Mary Gulden, and David Gulden (Danielle).

He was a favorite uncle to dozens of nieces and nephews, a light of joy and fun for his huge extended family. Was there a better friend on earth than John Sheehy? He enjoyed deep, real friendships with many who will forever call him brother/friend. His simple and quiet devotion to his Catholic faith, The Blessed Mother, and St. Joseph are an example in humility and service.

A gourmet chef, master stone layer, avid golfer and fisherman, music lover, back-porch sitter (his favorite spot), and bird watcher, John will always be remembered as humble, trustworthy, interesting, authentic, and completely original.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford Ohio on Wednesday, September 3 from 11:00AM until time of services at 1:00PM. Burial will take place immediately following at St Patrick's Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ohio, where he will be laid to rest aside his father and mother.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

Donations can be made to the St Vincent de Paul Society, St. Louis Church, Owensville Ohio.
