YADKINVILLE - Mr. John Randy Shore, 64, of Mahaney Rock Road passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
Mr. Shore was born December 11, 1961, in Yadkin County to John Ralph Shore and Edith Scott Shore. A man known for his generous heart and creative spirit, Randy lived his life with a constant desire to help others. He was always thinking of ways to serve those around him, often placing the needs of others before his own. Randy had a natural ability to develop new ideas and was known for the thoughtful and articulate way he shared his vision.
Much of his life was spent in business alongside his brother, Scotty. Together they built and operated a number of ventures through the years. Randy enjoyed living at Atlantic Beach for more than fifteen years, where he especially loved spending time golfing and fishing along the coast. During that time, he also helped operate the Shore Motel and Apartments, dedicating himself to the upkeep and care of the property.
His entrepreneurial spirit led him to develop Sea Falcon Lures, which were produced on the Causeway, and he later co-owned Wholesale Tackle Company and Shore Boys Tackle in Morehead City. Earlier in life, Randy and his brother operated several restaurants and seafood businesses, including Shore Boys Grill in Princeton, Shore Boys Seafood and Steak in Goldsboro, and Shore Boys Seafood Market on West Main Street in High Point. Before retiring, he operated Minnie and Macels Grill in East Bend, where he continued doing what he loved most—serving people and building friendships.
Randy was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church, where in his earlier years he faithfully served as Choir Director. His love for music, fellowship, and faith was evident to all who knew him. He truly loved life and treasured the opportunity to meet new people wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Scott Shore.
Surviving are his father, Dr. John R. Shore; his brother, Scotty Shore; his sister, Rebecca (William) Mulligan; his special friend, Betty Lewis; and several cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2026 in the Gentry Family Chapel, conducted by Rev. Scott Welch. Interment will follow in the Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
