Plainfield, CT-John Randal Simpson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, after a brave year-long fight with Glioblastoma Multiforme. He is survived by his wife, Natalie Simpson; his sons, Zachary and Joshua Simpson; his daughter, Gabrielle Simpson; and his parents, Sue and Bruce Simpson. He also leaves behind his brothers, Anthony and Ryan Simpson; his sister, Jacqueline Wilmarth; their families; and his grandchildren, Sofia and Weston Simpson.
John was a hardworking, reliable guy who never missed a day of work and never complained. In 1991, he met Natalie, the love of his life, and together they built a life and a family full of love, starting in 1994. His family was everything to him, and his generosity and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
John had a knack for figuring things out. Whether it was fixing a car, taking on a home project, or solving everyday problems, he could always find a way. He loved classic rock—AC/DC and Led Zeppelin were always playing in the background. He had a curiosity for technology and engineering that kept him busy with new ideas and projects.
John was the guy people turned to when they didn’t know what to do. He had a way of listening, offering advice, or just being there when you needed him. He used to say, “You don’t put walls up; you take them down,” a reminder to be patient and honest in tough situations.
His family and friends will always remember him for his strength, kindness, and the way he faced life head-on. They’ll do their best to carry on the values he lived by and keep his memory alive in everything they do.
Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, January 10 from 4-7pm at Callahan, Fay and Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 10am in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
All flowers or donations can be made to the Simpson Family at 633 Norwich Rd., Plainfield, CT
