John Allen Sink, 72, passed away Friday July 5, 2024. He was born November 16, 1951 in Forsyth County to the late Gaither William Sink and Obera Messer Sink. Mr. Sink enjoyed fishing, Hunting, and loved music. Mr. Sink worked 37 ½ years for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Paul Sink. Surviving are two daughters Christy Sink (Greg) Gumpert, Maggie Sink (Pedro Escutia); grandchildren Robbie Gumpert, Kiersten Gumpert, Ainsley Gumpert; brother David Sink; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Brother Lawrence Warden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society 55 Chapel Street, Suite 006, Newton, MA 02458. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home and special friend’s Terry Whitaker, Ronnie Hicks, and Ann Marie Hicks for the loving care given to Mr. Sink. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Sink family.
