Thomas Ryan Sink, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away November 15, 2025. Born February 10, 1942, in Forsyth County, he was the son of Mary Frances Thomas and Ryan Alexander Sink.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Tom dedicated 30 years of his career to Stroh's Brewery before his well-earned retirement.
A man of many talents and passions, Tom was a skilled flint knapper who took great joy in sharing the art of making arrowheads with younger generations at events throughout the region. He was equally devoted to his home and land where he and Judy lived around family, tending blueberry bushes and a garden so fruitful and beautiful, it looked like something from a magazine! Tom found peace in fishing and spending time outdoors along with spending time with his family, especially his grandgirls, whom he was known as “Paw Paw”.
Tom was a Past Master of Enterprise Masonic Lodge 752 and a devoted member of Friedberg Moravian Church, where he served faithfully as caretaker chairman and on the Board of Trustees.
On April 17, 1966, Tom married the love of his life, Judy Cockerham Sink. Together they built a beautiful life in the Friedberg community, where they remained throughout their marriage.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Judy Cockerham Sink; son, David Sink (Denise); daughter, Alison Sink; grandchildren Jessica Willard (Jared), Jennifer Sink, Ashlee and Jillian Vannoy; sister, SuEllen Pruitt (Marshal); and a church family which loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Nancy Forcum, Carrene Sink, Merilyn Stokes, Richard Sink.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Friedberg Moravian Church with Pastor Jim Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm in the church parlor prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Covenant Sunday School class of Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
