John Wayne Sisney, 59, of Ethel, MS, passed away on September 17, 2025.
Mr. Sisney was a retired carpenter and a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Carthage, MS. He was an avid fisherman and had a passion for hunting, especially traditional bow hunting. He enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Sisney of Ethel, MS; son, Jonathan (Tiffany) Sisney of Ethel, MS; daughters, Kayla Kerr of Attica, KS, and Darla (Jason) Sisney of Cleveland, MS; brothers, Tim (Tammie) Sisney and Ricky (Nancy) Sisney, all of Kosciusko, MS; grandchildren, Arianna Armentrout, Ryleigh Armentrout, Keara Armentrout, William Armentrout, Michael Armentrout, Alice Sisney, and Jakobi Sisney.
He was preceded by his parents, Harold Wayne Sisney and Dorothy Bell Sisney, and a sister, Liz Manning.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Carthage, MS. The burial will follow the services at Jerusalem Cemetery.
