John Sobie Obituary
He was born October 20, 1970, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Roman J. Sobie and Carylon Sobie.
John is survived by his parents, both of Michigan; children, Brooke Craig of Illinois and Joshua Sobie of Michigan; grandson, Daniel Jensen; and sisters, Joanne Sobie and Jamie Ripley, both of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Connie Rowe.
John grew up in Michigan and graduated from Central Montcalm High School in Stanton. He moved to Rockport, Illinois in August of 2014. John enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to hunt and fish, especially with family and friends.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date in Michigan. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family with arrangements.
