John Huett Spaulding

Mr. John Huett Spaulding, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.

He was born November 20, 1935, in Waycross, Georgia, to the late Harvey Dykes Spaulding and Annie Mae Kicklighter Spaulding. During his formative years, he enjoyed many adventures along the Altamaha River while growing up in Darien, Georgia. He and his family later returned to Waycross, where he graduated from Waycross High School in 1953. Mr. Spaulding apprenticed locally and became a talented cabinet maker. He also worked as a boilermaker with CSX Transportation for more than 34 years.

First and foremost, John was a devoted and passionate follower of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His next greatest joy was being a loving and devoted husband and father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, a brother, and a son, John Jacob Spaulding.

He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Beth Spaulding. Together, they raised numerous children, both their own and as committed and loving foster parents. John was a much-loved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
