John Francis Speciale

John F. Speciale, age 73, passed away on January 31, 2026 at his home in Corning, NY. Born on September 27, 1952 in Corning, NY, he was the son of the late John M. and Mary C. (Woodhouse) Speciale.

John was a graduate of Campbell-Savona High School, class of 1972. Following high school, he attended Corning Community College and went through the apprentice program for Corning, Inc. - eventually receiving specialized machinist training in Switzerland. John proudly worked as a Class A Machinist for Corning, Inc., retiring in 2024 with 50 years of service. He was also a 50 year member of the Flint Glass Workers Union and the United Steel Workers Local 1000.

In his free time, John will be remembered for his love of music. He was a member of two bands, playing the guitar for High Performance and Black Diamond. He enjoyed camping - taking trips with Raedine throughout the state during the summer months.

John is survived by his loving wife, Raedine Speciale of Corning, NY; sons: John J. (Maryjo) Speciale, Presho, NY, Stephen P. Speciale of Lindley, NY, Matthew R. (Kasey) Speciale of Elmira, NY; grandchildren: Kaili, Austin, Josh, Stephen, Kahliah; several great-grandchildren; brothers: Paul Speciale, Frank Speciale; sisters: Theresa Kelly, Kathy Speciale Ballard (Dan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his nephew, Riley Clark

It was John's wish that there be no services. Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY has been entrusted with John's care.
