So sorry to see John had passed away. Was nice to see you both at the pool when my daughter & I would go for the water aerobics class. I know my husband always enjoyed talking trains w/ John, they're common interest. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Sandy - Just this very moment - praying for you and the service - I got chills because I just know that the salvation message will be given - I prayed for open hearts to receive it - because this is the testimony I first seen and witnessed meeting you and John for the first time at a Gideon Meeting. John and You demonstrated your love for the Lord, your love for others and your desire for others to know the Lord. I will remember the "unspoken" testimony of both of you when we came to that meeting. God has already said "Well - done, thou good and faithful servant" to this dear brother that touched our lives the short time we knew you both. God comfort you and keep you close sweet sister - until you join your dear husband again in Glory. Love Kim and Al Lammott

25 years ago I left Marathon New York in tears and drove 600 miles to Sturgis Michigan with a Ryder truck. I was young, terrified and questioned my career decision countless times. Then I met John and Sandy. They more than looked out for me, they welcomed me (and a year later Roxanne) into their family. We were very fortunate and thankful to celebrate Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day and Easter with them. They invited us out, invited us over and we would talk for hours (if it weren't for Sandy, we would have talked all night). John and I from day one had a special bond. His heart of gold and stories were priceless. We would laugh for hours (I called him Skipper, he called me Gilligan, he'd offer me a Pop and I'd say I drank Soda and on and on). 15 years later we moved back to Marathon NY, it was time to catch up with family. We left the Midwest in tears and thankfully a mover drove the truck this time. To this day I would still be trying to back between 2 trees with the Ryder truck if it weren't for John. During our 10 years back in NY we kept in touch all the time with John and Sandy. We would laugh, tell stories and talk about the good and bad things we had to deal with. Letters in the mail, cards for every occasion, Christmas gifts, phone calls (and messages), it never got old (John and Sandy always were one step ahead of us too). Our visits back to Michigan, John and Sandy ALWAYS would put the effort to make our stay special at the Stackman Inn. Cookouts, deserts, car rides to unique places or events we will miss this so much, but most of all, I will miss my best buddy John. He loved life, loved people, and would do anything for anybody. I'm sure he knew how much he was loved in return It's a heartfelt loss. So many great memories, we Love and miss you John, you will never be forgotten

We were so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a good man. He was always friendly and loved to talk. We were happy to see him in church last year when we visited Sturgis. Praying for you Sandi, as you go forward.
