John J. Stahulak, 67, of Sandwich, IL passed away on September 20, 2025, surrounded by his daughters. He was born on May 21, 1958, in Oak Lawn, IL, the son of Paul and Janice (Williams) Stahulak.
John was an avid fisherman who found peace by the water. Though he never served in the military he was deeply patriotic and had a strong respect for those who did. A proud papa and grandpa, John, took great joy in the lives of his grandkids keeping up with their accomplishments and milestones, even when he couldn't be there in person. He was always genuinely interested in what each of them had going on. He had a lifelong love for pizza and deep appreciation for music, especially Pink Floyd. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Ryan) Buchanan and Lisa Stahulak; father, Paul (Liz) Stahulak; grandchildren, Emilie Stahulak, Brady Buchanan and Jakob, Taylor and Jeremy Kubeczko; brothers, Paul (Debora) and Mike (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by mother, Janice and son Neil.
Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home.
Memorial from Paul Stahulak: Johns Dad
Memorial for Jack Stahulak 1958-2025: My son Jack was a very unique guy. He had his own way of doing things and wasn't afraid of giving his opinion on anything that came up. He also kinda kept to himself a lot. We became very close over the last 5 years or so. When he was young he studied judo with me, helped me with martial arts demonstrations and we really had a good time. Many times we would go to motorcycle events or take long rides on the bike. Many times he would stay in touch by giving me a call. Often thruout his illnesses he would often say " When the Lord wants me, He'll come and get me." So I know even though his life at the end was tough on him, he always kept in good spirits. So I say--Good bye my son, you're in Gods Hands now and we all know you're at Peace with God.
Love, Your Dad
