John A. Stanley, 80, of Gaines, passed away on March 10, 2026. John was born January 29, 1946, in Coatesville, the son of the late Allen and Julie (Varigo) Stanley. He married the former Ruth Ann Graham on July 2, 1971, and celebrated over 54 years together.
John graduated from Scott high School, Class of 1965. He worked as an auto parts salesman with various auto part stores, more recently he worked at Topps Grocery Store, Wellsboro. He was a veteran of the Air Force and was a member of the American Legion, Post 0945, Wormleysburg. John was a car enthusiast and enjoyed collecting O gauge model trains and was a member of the Train Collectors Association. He also enjoyed hunting.
John is survived by his wife and preceded in death by his parents.
