John Stelly Obituary
He was born at home on June 20, 1941, in Arnaudville, LA and was the youngest of nine children. He graduated from Arnaudville High School, enlisted in the Air Force where he then worked as a medic at the military hospital in San Antonio, Texas. After the service, he worked for South Central Bell, Bell South and AT&T, where he retired from after 39 plus years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Cathy) Landry Stelly; three sons, John Jr., Peter and Thomas (Brooke); four grandchildren, Ayden, Khloe, Ava, and Isabella; godchildren, Carl Stelly and Stella Miller Olivier; brother, Earl Stelly; sisters, Grace Stelly Marks and Doris Stelly Richard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Alma Miller Stelly; brothers, Joseph, Louis, Lee, and Willie Jim; and sister, Velma Stelly Olivier.
John was a kind, hardworking, honest man, whose smile lit up a room. He loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
