A devoted farmer, “Jeff” spent countless hours cultivating the fertile soils of Louisiana, engaging in rice and crawfish farming with unmatched passion and commitment. His love for agriculture extended beyond the fields as he enjoyed gardening, raising animals, and caring for his landscape by cutting grass, all of which spoke to his lifelong connection to nature and hard work. He is survived by his children, Rudy Stelly (Fran), Kim Brasseaux Sr. (Anita), Kathleen Broussard (Rickey), Dwayne Stelly (Paul), and Josh Stelly (Karen); 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Stelly; mother, Marie Suire Stelly; sister, Maudrey Stelly Choate; wife, Mamie Suire Stelly; daughter, Dineen Stelly Dubois; and son, James “T-Larry” Brasseaux Jr.
In this time of grief, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who offered support and care, including the compassionate team at Hope Hospice, who provided comfort in Jeff's final days.
