John S Sudol

John S. Sudol, 84, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Hackensack and raised in Garfield, he moved to Manchester in 2003.
A proud Air Force veteran, John served from 1958-62 during the Korean War. He was also an accomplished accordion player, delighting many weddings with his own Polka band to support his family as a young father. John's career saw him take great pride as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service in Fairlawn and Bloomfield for 12 years before retiring in 2002.
John was a member of the American Legion, and he enjoyed fishing and boating when his sons were young, as well as spending time at the Jersey Shore in his later years. He is survived by his sons and their wives, John A. & Kristine Sudol and Robert J. & Lorraine Sudol, and his granddaughters, Alison (husband Matt) and Ashley (husband Chris). John's dear friend, Laura Ann DeSilva, whom he often referred to as his angel, brought purpose and joy to his life, adding many cherished years.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a veteran support charity of your choice.
