John Joseph Sullivan Jr.
Age 80, of Mokena, IL passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL.
John was born in Chicago, IL to the late John Sr. and Eleanore (nee Mugge) Sullivan.
Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Callahan) Sullivan; loving father of Maria (Bob) Lindstrom, the late John J. Sullivan III, and Timothy Sullivan; cherished grandfather of Kyle (Katie) Lindstrom, Scott Lindstrom, Sarah Lindstrom, Caden Sullivan, and Cole Sullivan; dear brother of the late Jerry (Barbara) Sullivan, James (late Susan) Sullivan, Patrick (Marietta) Sullivan, Michael (Deborah) Sullivan; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
John was a Pipefitter for Oak Brook Mechanical Services for over 40 years, retiring in 2017 at the age of 72. He was a member of Pipefitters Local #597 and a U.S. Army Veteran. John enjoyed spending time with family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 2pm – 6pm. Funeral services Monday, February 24, 2025, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15am then to St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
