John Sunley

John LeRoy "Sam" Sunley, age 89, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at Stonebridge Lake Ozark. He was born on November 4, 1936, in Springfield, Illinois; a son of John and Eleonor (Bradford) Sunley. He was united in marriage to Judy Hurley on June 4, 1965. Judy passed away on October 9, 2022, and they had 57 wonderful years together at the time of her passing.
He loved the game of golf and had a fascination with speed and racing in general - NASCAR, F1 and Motorcycle racing drew him in. Whether he was watching a race, playing a round of golf, or simply spending time with friends telling jokes, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Most of all, he cherished his family and the time he shared with them. He enjoyed life to the fullest, finding joy in both the quiet moments and the fast-paced ones that made his days unforgettable.
Sam is survived by his daughter, Sandra "Rene" Gonzalez (Sergio); his son John C. Ingle (Diane); his grandchildren Melissia Ingle, and Lindsay Chambers Turner; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Sam was preceded by his wife Judy Sunley; his parents John and Eleonor Sunley; and his two brothers Jerry and Ed Sunley.
