John Teegarden Obituary

John Teegarden will be fondly remembered for his deep love of mowers and tractors, a passion that brought him joy throughout his life. Whether he was tuning up a favorite machine or proudly taking the driver's seat, John found true happiness in the rumble of an engine and the open air around him. He especially cherished participating in tractor pulls and local parades, where his enthusiasm shone brightest as he drove past cheering crowds with his familiar smile and wave. His dedication to the hobby and the delight he shared with others will remain a cherished part of his legacy.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers Tommy and Charles Ray Teegarden and sister Kathy Jackson. He is survived by his wife Sharon Simpson Teegarden, daughter Laura (Ryan) Winkle, brothers Roy, Jerry, Jimmy, Timmy, and Randy Teegarden, and sister Gwen Teegarden, grandchildren Lindsay and Jackson Winkle.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm- 8 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at
Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11 am also at the funeral home. John's final resting place will be in the Butler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make online gifts in memory of John Teegarden, to the Dementia Society of America www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
