John Teele Obituary
John Teele, 98, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea and later as a patrolman with the Columbus Police Department for 29 years.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Jay Stanley and Lida Teele; his sister, Emma Jane "Janie" Brenner; his first wife, Jeanne Teele; and nephew, Eugene Brzozowski.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Reid-Teele; children Jacqueline "Jackie" Teele, Jay Teele, Karen Morgan and her children, Philip, Kathryn, and Kendall; sister Martha (Ted) Brzozowski; their children Tom, Rebecca (Julian), Regina, and their grandchildren; and John's niece Nancy (Mike) Peters, their children and grandchildren; cousins-in-law, Bev Mateson, Carolyn Highley, Marti (Chuck) Redmond, Melanie (Tom), Jeff (Donna) Salisbury, and their children.
John is survived by many retired Columbus Police Officers, whom he considered his extended family, and many dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial Memorial will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Seton Parish, 600 Hill Road North, Pickerington, OH 43147. Burial of John's ashes, family only, will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville, Ohio.
