Mr. Larry Teele

Larry Braddock Teele was born on January 8, 1950, to the late William Augusta and Mary Teele in Martin County, NC. He departed this life on January 9, 2025 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital Tarboro, NC.
Larry graduated from East End High School, Robersonville, NC class of 1968. He went on to further his education at Saint Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC. There he majored in Sociology and Physical Education.
Larry married Evelyn the love of his life and to their union two children were born. Qyati Teele who preceded him death and Travanti Teele which is left to cherish his memories.
Larry was a member of Gamma PSI Chapter Alpha PHI Alpha Fraternity, Saint Augustine's University and he was also a part of the Masonic Lodge in Everetts, NC.
Larry worked with the Department of Corrections for many years. He served as assistant Superintendent of Programs from November 1, 2005-March 20, 2013 when he retired.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Teele; son, Qyati Teele; two brothers, William Buck Teele, Bobby Teele; three sisters, Hutie Pearl Rodgers, Bertha Teele and Villa Andrews.
Larry is survived by his son, Travanti Teele (Shawn); grandson who he loved dearly, Qyati Teele of Greenville, NC; brother, James Teele of Lynchburg, VA; extended brother, George Gibson (Linda) of Williamston, NC; sister, Valerie "Deet" Teele Brown (Joe) of Greenville, NC; his caregivers, Travis and Nia Williams of the home; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
