John Timothy Thomas, age 56, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, in Bonifay, Florida. He was born August 11, 1969, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Harmon Thomas and Beatrice Slaughter. In his spare time John loved hunting, fishing, and racing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Addie B. and Harmon Thomas; two brothers, Alton Harold Thomas and James Thomas; three sisters, Barbara Cosson, Laura Thomas, and Sue Thomas; and one nephew, all from Westville, Florida; one nephew, Charles Cosson of Caryville; and one great niece, Remi Allison Flanders of Westville.

John is survived by two sons, Nolan Brown (Heaven) and Timothy Thomas (Kayla); one grandson, Braxton; two brothers, Wesley Thomas and Terry Thomas (Connie); one sister, Janice Thomas; and one niece, Morgan Flanders (Kirkland); nephew, James Cosson (Mary); niece, Irene Kull; great nephew, Benjamin; and great nieces, Bridget and Jessica.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Davis-Watkins of Bonifay, 406 West Highway 90, Bonifay, Florida 32425, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Campground Church 2135 County Road 179A, Westville, Florida 32464, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Minister David Davis officiating. Committal services will follow at Campground Cemetery.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of Bonifay.
