John David Thomas, 50, of Woodway, Texas passed away in his home Thursday, October 16, 2025. He was born in San Marcos, Texas on June 26, 1975, to Billy Ray Thomas and Beverly Kay Thomas. Johnny spent twenty-four years married to the love of his life, Jessica June Adams. They were married on February 24, 2002, and had 3 wonderful children.

Johnny worked for many years as an auto-body technician. Johnny loved spending his time working on model cars, reading his bible, spending time with his family, and riding his motorcycle. He loved watching football with his oldest son, Ethan. He loved deep discussions and intellectual debates with his youngest son, Brett. His daughter, Brooklyn, shared a love of old cars with her dad. His time with his loving wife was spent discussing hopes and dreams for their family and future.

Johnny is survived in death by his loving wife, Jessica June Thomas of Woodway, son Ethan David Thomas of Houston, son Jonathon Brett Thomas of Woodway, daughter Brooklyn June Thomas of Woodway, brother Billy and wife Lorie of China Spring, sister Dorothy Long and husband Justin of Valley Mills, mother Beverly Kay Thomas of San Marcos and many loved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Thomas, grandmother Dorothy Lee Rudinger, grandfather John Mortimer Laidley, grandmother Elsie Faye Covey, grandfather Willie Dee Thomas and cousin "Little Willie".

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Sunday, October 19th at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, TX. Graveside services will be on Monday, October 20th at Memorial Lawn in Martindale, TX. June 26, 1975 - October 16, 2025
