John Wesley Thompson, Jr., age 85, of Canton, GA passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Father Jamie Stutler officiating. Inurnment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery with full United States Air Force Military Honors.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at South Canton Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by:
Father - John W. Thompson, Sr.
Mother - Gaynelle Thompson
Brother - Ronald Thompson
Survivors include:
Loving Wife of 63 Years - Ann Thompson
Son & Daughter-in-law - Jet & Jenny Thompson
Son - Don Thompson
Brother - Kenneth Thompson
Sister & Brother-in-law - Mary Sue and Jimmy Fortner
Grandchildren - Brock Thompson, Brody Thompson, Toby Thompson, and Darianne Thompson
The Thompson family is receiving friends immediately following the committal service at the Laurel Canyon Cottage. All friends and family are welcome to come.
