John Henry Trent, Jr., age 73, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Ft Sanders Regional Hospital. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Three Springs Baptist Church. He loved to garden and piddle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Trent; parents, John Henry, Sr., and Eva Mae Johnson Trent.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Dusty) Jones; brother, Roger Trent; grandchildren, Tyler Jones, and Jaylen (Dalton) Owens.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the love, care, and concern that Brittany Wasden, his nurse, showed during his stay.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Sonny Davis and Rev. Dale Holt officiating. Graveside/interment service will be Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Brewer's Chapel Church Cemetery in Sneedville.
