Moultrie, Georgia – John B. “JB” Tucker, 85, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45. AM, Friday, at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Casketbearers will be Blake Tucker, Christopher Tucker, Carlton Tucker, Chuck Ray, Matthew Free and Jeffrey Fillyaw.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Crosby, Carl Gay, Jimmy Matthews, Sam Gay and the Deacons of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Born June 15, 1940, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was a son of the late Henry Tucker and the late Lillie Grace Freeman Tucker.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Derwin Willis Tucker and John Henry Tucker; brothers, Billy Dean Tucker, Charles Farrell Tucker, Carl Edmondson Tucker and Curtis Tucker; sisters, Polly Tucker Wycoff and Betty Tucker Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Gail Carlton Tucker, Ruth Hall Tucker and Mary Foreman Tucker; brother-in-law, William Everett Free; and nephew, Fred Stevenson.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Almand Tucker; grandsons, Blake Tucker (Taylor Carey) and Christopher Tucker; great-grandchildren, Emberlyn Tucker, Ellanora Tucker, Nathan Golden, Keagen Tucker and Lily Tucker; sister, Carol Tucker Free; sister-in-law, Ellen Tanner Tucker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

A faithful member and Deacon at Pine Grove Baptist Church, he spent his life as a farmer, raising cows, growing pecans, cotton, peanuts and tobacco, and later worked for the US Postal Service. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
