John Tuggle Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 29, 2025.
John Wayne Tuggle, 74 years old.

John lived a life defined by service, love, and quiet strength. He met and married his "princess", Wendy, January 25, 1968. John proudly served his country first in the Army beginning in 1969, where he fought in the Vietnam War, and then transferred to the Air Force where he retired in 1990.

In the following years he became a custodian for the Etiwanda School District. He pursued a job to become a bus driver in the same district. He then felt called to serve his Lord and Savior as a pastor for the Etiwanda Community Church. During his service to the church he also received his associates in Theology, which he was very proud of.

John was a devoted husband and faithful friend. His warm heart and loyal commitment to his family will be remembered by all who knew him. Whether through his military service, his contributions to the community, or him simply being a steadfast presence in the lives of those he loved, John made a lasting and meaningful impact.

He is survived by his brother - Kenny (Connie) Tuggle; sister in law - Susan Tuggle/White; sister in law - Wanda Robinson; 2 daughters - Loranna (Chris) Vicario; Kristina (Hannibal) Sherman; 4 grandchildren - Jacob (Cora Lee) Vicario; Jacquelynn (Brian) Haney; Eden Sherman; Eve Sherman; & 5 great grandchildren - Scarlett; Wyatt; Juliett; Brewer & Rowyn.

Isaiah 40: 31 ~ but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
