John Turner Obituary
Eric was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and served as a Quartermaster. Eric was a Lifetime Member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 1111 in Mooresville, IN. He was a board member, and an Elder for his church, St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waymansville. Eric was a graduate of Brentwick University where he became a psychotherapist. Along with his wife, Brenda, they operated Polarity Counseling in Seymour for many years.
Eric is survived by his wife Brenda (Davidson) Turner; sons, Justin (Anna Guthrie) Turner and Thomas Turner; grandson, Bradley Turner; sister, Lorraine (Dathie) Haxton; and brother, Bruce (Nikki) Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Reid Turner.
Funeral services for Eric will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11750 W. 930 S. Columbus, Indiana, 47201. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Eric will be laid to rest in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery with military honors immediately following the funeral service.

I haven't seen Eric since the early 1990's when he was my trainer, when I experienced Gestalt Therapy training through the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute. Nevertheless, he is still strong in my heart more than 30 years later. He was one of the most genuine, warm, and affectionate men I have ever met. His loss is a loss to what is best in this world. My sincere condolences to his family.
