John W. Unkart

John William Unkart, 82, of Westminster, MD passed away on September 30, 2025. Born February 18, 1943 in Lowville, NY, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy (Beyer) Unkart. John moved to Reisterstown, MD in his early teens and attended Franklin High School. John was the founder and owner of J & J Auto Sales in Westminster, MD. The company was founded in 1981. He loved his cabin on Tug Hill in NY, where he enjoyed hunting. He loved playing his guitar, playing cards, poker and gambling. Surviving are his two sons, Jerry Unkart (Kristin), Jay Unkart (Michelle); grandchildren, Bailey and Colby; sister, Judy Roth; companion, Beth Wilkinson; Beth's children, Tommy and Cindy Osborne, Scott and Tina Wilkinson; Beth's grandchildren, Cole, Kayla, Joey and Reese. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Laura Jane Unkart, siblings, Jimmy and Janice and Beth's son, Joey Wilkinson. Family will receive friends, Friday, October 3, 2025, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg, MD 21048. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at
