John Urhausen Obituary

Elkhorn, WI - John S. Urhausen, age 76 of Elkhorn, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, August 10, 2023. He was born on August 24, 1946 in Racine, WI, the son of the late Theodore and Marie (Schmitz) Urhausen. John was a horseshoer for fifty years. He loved training our standard bred race horses and racing in Chicago. John was an avid fisherman. He made a lot of his own bucktail lures and loved fishing for muskies. He loved His Harley's and his tractors and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He was the best husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa, and he will forever be missed.

John is survived by his loving wife; Elaine (Andresen) of fifty-one years, his daughter; Kristine (Danny) Binstock of Elkhorn, his four grandchildren; Tiffiny (Marc) Turner of California, Ryan (Lisa) Harkness of Muskego, Brittany Binstock of Delavan and Austin Binstock of Delavan. He is also survived by his seven great-grand children; Jack, Molly, Declan, Adelle, Liam, Stella and Esme.

John is preceded in death by his parents; Theodore and Marie and his sister; Mary.
