Van Drunen, 76, of South Holland, Illinois, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a salesman for Swift & Co. in Chicago before his retirement, passed away at Ingalls Memorial Hospital Hospice in Harvey, Illinois, on Saturday, December 15, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 17, 2001, 2-9 p.m., at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 East 162nd Street (Route 6/159th Street), South Holland. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 18, 11 a.m., at First Christian Reformed Church, 16248 South Park Avenue, South Holland, officiated by the Rev. Richard J. Blauw. Interment will be at Homewood Memorial Gardens, Homewood, Illinois. Memorial donations are appreciated to Family Radio, c/o Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 East 162nd Street, South Holland, IL 60473-2329. Arrangements entrusted to Smits Funeral Homes, Ltd. Smits-DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel, South Holland, Illinois.
