John Leo "Jack" Vogelpohl

John Leo "Jack" Vogelpohl peacefully passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 while surrounded by family, at the age of 90 years old. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Lee Crowe Vogelpohl (Mother of his children), his second wife, Nancy E. (West) Vogelpohl and his third wife, Dorothy "Estelle" (Albert) Vogelpohl and a daughter, Elaine Vogelpohl. He is survived by his children, Theresa (Mark) Duttweiler, Thomas (Michele) Vogelpohl, David Vogelpohl, Steven (Rosario) Vogelpohl and John Vogelpohl; step-sons, Wade (Sherry) Pearson and Robert E. Lee (Jerri) Pearson. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. John was a proud Air Force veteran from the Korean War and served from 1951 to 1955. He was a life member in the VFW as well as Quartermaster in the VFW post where he resided in Florida. A former member of the Lions Club in Independence and Taylor Mill, KY and a member of the American Legion. A beloved father and devoted husband, family was always a priority in his life, he would make time to talk and visit with family and friends. He and Estelle loved entertaining and telling stories, talking and laughing for hours on end. The only thing that could surpass our love for him was his love for all of us.Visitation will be Thursday, November 3rd from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pk. Ft. Wright, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 4th at 10:00am at St. Anthony Church, 485 Grand Ave. Taylor Mill, KY 41015.
