John Wayne Wagoner

John W. Wagoner, (84), of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on November 17th, 2023.

John was born to John and Dorene, on February 18th, 1939, in Greensboro, North Carolina. John attended collage at North Carolina State University, prior to joining the United States Army. He was a dedicated family man who worked at IBM most of his life.
John is survived by his wife Rachel, two children, Anne and Mark and his two grandchildren Paige and Zach. He is also survived by his sister Hellen Wagoner Jerrett. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Dorene and his brother Harry James Wagoner.
Aside from John's love for baseball and football, John was passionate about his faith and giving back. He was always the first to sign up for a volunteering event or donating. John loved his kids and grandchildren. His favorite place to take them was Disney World where he would transform into a child himself. No one could keep up with him. John will truly be missed.
John's family will host a funeral service on Tuesday, December 19th at 10 a.m. The service will be at Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Trinity Horse Rescue https://www.trinityrescueinc.org in John's name.
